As I stood by your side
and watched you fade away

My heart was torn in pieces
'cause I wanted you to stay

But, God had other plans for you
He needs you more than I

Even though my heart is breaking
It's time to say goodbye

He placed you in His loving arms
and whispered "hold on tight"

I'm taking you Home My Son
where you'll have Eternal Life

I'll always cherish the memories
until we're together again

You were a wonderful loving brother
and also my best friend
