I'm writing you this letter

in hopes that you will see

The gratitude I feel

for all you've done for me

I hold so many memories

deep within my heart

Of all my childhood years

and all that I was taught

You taught me to know the difference

between right and wrong

You taught me how to love

you taught me to be strong

You taught me to be a

caring person in all I

say and do

The things I value most in life

are the things I've learned

from you

So if you ever need me

or you're feeling down and blue

Just pick up this letter Mom,

and I'll be right there

with you!
